real laker fans that have a love for the game as well as the lakers as a whole need only apply. don't need you comments about how kobe got rid of shaq. bull!!! if shaq wanted to stay he would've stayed. he's the diesel. no one, not even kobe had the power to run him out of l.a. he left cuz he wanted to. he's a miami heat now. get over it. i want to know why we can't beat the teams we're supposed to be beating and why one moth we're playing awesome ball and then the next month we're playing like crap. that's all. no kobe hater's please. i love all my lakers. from kobe on down to shammond williams. if they're in the purple and gold, they're on my squad and imma rep them hard, good as well as bad. that's a true fan people. i was there when we won with magic and kareem, there will we lost with threatt and doug christie, there when shaq nad kobe brought us back, and i will continue to be here when kobe brings us back again. that's a true laker fan. plain & simple.

I think she meant now from the 1st half of the season, not the last couple of years. Well, I think the lakers got used to playing w/out Lamar and learned how to play good without him. Their record didn't go down until he got back. It's also because Kwame and Luke are still out and also because Kobe is not taking the last shot like last night when Lamar took it and I was like WHAT!?! But anyway, they have never been good at keeping leads and they give up too many offensive rebounds. I think they are just excited about All-Star Break and got kind of lazy. They rebound from it after the All-Star game.

because they are young, which means that they are going to be inconsistant. they are not on the same page all the time which is why they can come out and beat the spurs but lose to the raptors. when they get in sync, theyll be ok. you have to remember that they developed a rythm without lamar and now that hes back, they have to re-establish the rythm that they had with him before he left. not to mention that cook is bringing alot of negative energy because hes lost alot of PT, and that type of bad energy can be a plague on a younge team who doesnt know how to handle a situation like that.and luke is out, and hes been a key player for the lakers this season, id say second best on the team next to kobe. bottom line; the lakers are frustrated.

Oh the NBA L.A. Lakers are just upset because they are getting invited to the PAC-10 tourney for NCAA basketball. But, UCLA will beat them in the first round since the Lakers will be the lowest seed. So they might have to even go play Double A ball next year. Whaaa!! Thw whole thing is about the money, not rings or the love of the game.

they are still in the process of rebuilding...they will need another year or two to really compete at the top level, you can see now that the team is not made up well enough to ocasionally beat the top teams AND (now this is very important) beat the teams they are supposed to...the current laker team lacks experience and confidence to win it all...time, experience, and perhaps a key acquisition... improving from two years ago, but they are not a top flight team yet...
