and anwsers 1-6 shut up. the wiimote does do gameplay with your fingers, the graphics look nothing like the cube, look at some upcoming games. there is backwards compatability and if the wii doesn't revoulutionize the way we play then why don't any other systems have motion control? you're all just trying to prove nintendo wrong. they have more experience with games then sony or microsoft. there are barely any ps3's and why make 2 versions of the 360. it's stupid. who cares about graphics? those are just people whodon't appreciate their games and don't pay attention to gameplay. graphics don't tell a game gameplay does.

Easy. The graphics are basically the same between the Wii and the GC. There's not that much difference between the Wii hardware and the GC hardware. That's why there is no backward compatibility issue with the Wii. The only thing new about the Wii is the Wii-mote which doesn't make it a next gen system. It's only a partial next gen system, thus it gets the .5.

The Wii-mote is not an awesome piece of technology. It hasn't really change the way that we play games except make us use our arms instead of our fingers.

I am not a Sony fanboy. I am not a fanboy for any system at all.

The controller is motion sensing, which automatically divides people into 2 camps. The graphics divides them up again and mixes them. How the controller uses its motion sensing abilities mixes them up, and finally, the features and games... you know. They make up everyone else.

Ask fanboys of any big game maker the categories i.e. motion sensing, graphics, etc., and you should get some answers on why most people call the Wii a gamecube 1.5.

But it ain't. It is a 2.7.

The Wii's biggest breakthrough was the sensored controllers. I don't know why people say that it is only a half-step up, though. The graphics do not compare with Xbox 360 at all, and even less with PS3.
