I can turn it into something else, or use a theme... but I'd love some input!

To clairify: it already looks like a lighthouse. The creative challenge is to decorate it to either look like something else or to reflect a theme... Aiden's on the right track!

You could buy an ivy that already has some long runners on it...or use an artificial, and make the lighthouse into a topiary. You could use small tiles that you chip yourself to give it a mosaic look...especially if you buy some sample tiles of different colors and actually make a picture with them, like a dolphin curling upward around the sides, ocean waves, a sunset/sunrise...You could buy a bag of feathers and glue them on it in a pattern...mirror tiles...beads of different colors....intersperse beads with small seashells.

Hey bumsteadowl,

Find a Light house near you and use that as your guide. Or pick a famous light house that you like. Maybe one that looks like your's physically.

The Yahoo! Image Search below has thousands of pictures of Lighthouses to stimulate your creativity.

I immediately visualize it becoming a woman in ball gown. Probably sounds weird but it looks great in my head. :)
