I might be a little disappointed. Maybe at least even a card. You know what I would do??........Go out and buy yourself something, and tell him thank you, and show him what he got you!!

There is a very simple answer to this question: you should be upset because this is not just about valentine's day.
Obviously you have stated to him that it is important to you; I can't comment on how you approached him about the subject but if you say that you were upset with him in the past for not doing anything then there is a significant problem. A bell should definitely go off in his head come Feb 14th since he knows it's important to you. If something is important to you(whether it's a card or just doing some dishes) it should be addressed by the person you share your life with.

Look, Valentine's Day isn't about getting stuff, it's about spreading love. Be glad you HAVE a husband, unlike some of us. You can go ahead and be mad if you want but I don't think it's worth being mad at. I mean, you're not the only person who doesn't get anything. Cheer up, it's just another holiday....like Christmas for example, it's not about getting presents.
Have a nice V-Day!!!!!!

You are what's known as a sucker for marketing by the Hallmark company and so many who have fallen into the trap. Don't get me wrong..my girlfriend has fallen into it too. Valentines day has no real significance too it..and honestly..it's just another day on the calendar. I'd much rather celebrate a couple days after valentines day so for the same money I don't have to fight crowds for restaurants, roses, chocolates, jewerly, and pay half the price and/or buy her twice the gifts..but honestly..if you really have to have things on this so called day..so be it...it's kind've like Christmas gifts.. i know many families that just send gifts all throughout the year rather than frantically trying to find something for tha tone day.

I wouldn't be super upset over it, V Day is not important to a lot of people. Have you told your husband that its important to you? Maybe you should let him know how much it would mean to you if he would make it a special day for you rather than throwing a fit.

If Valentine's Day doesn't mean anything to him, getting upset about it will do you no good. You are not going to change him.
Instead, buy something for yourself.

No, why expect what has not happened in the past? Either remind him ahead of time next year, drop it, or drop him if it means that much to you. I agree with the responder that said go buy yourself something.
