Go to Google homepage and see its name. It is spelled as 'Googe'. Why has it left the letter 'L'?

I'm not sure, but looking at it a little bit longer and with a little imagination, I can think that the g is the drop of chocolate beneath the strawberry and that the strawberry itself is the L. But guess what, I'm probably wrong and drunk already!
I used googe many times today and I didn't even notice.

Someone else said the same thing and both times I checked on my homepage and it is spelled correctly. The L is supposed to be incorporated in the little squiggle below the chocolate covered strawberry.

Because everyone is throwing around the L word today so there are a shortage of the letter L in circulation , but only for today, tomorrow it will be back to normal.
