A few minutes ago I went to the bathroom and on the toilet paper I found blood, but it was encased in this weird goopy stuff. I got my first period in October 2005, but I don't remember it being like this. If it helps any, I've been getting really nauteous at night.

I am NOT pregnant-I'm a virgin unless I'm bipolar and don't know it.

omg, i cant believe some of the answers on here. miscarriage, hemmoroids, pregnancy? jesus christ it is nothing of the sort. hello, your period comes from the breaking down of the inner layer of your uterus. it builds up but then breaks down when it realizes there is no baby. when it breaks down, the uterine lining, along with blood comes out. which means it will sometimes just be liquid-y blood, and sometimes it will be small clumps of the uterine lining. it happens every cycle and u may notice it more times than others.

seriously, 12 year olds who dont know anything about periods should not be answering this poor girl with comments like ew, ur gross. thats not helping.

I get that myself and have done for years. Its the lining of the womb coming away when you have your period. As you have not become pregnant, there is no use for the lining this month. Sometimes I get it and sometimes I dont. Perhaps it comes away like skin does when it gets old. I would not worry about it, I believe its quite normal. See the doctor if your discharge becomes discoloured. Good luck.

It's probably normal, I get this sometimes. Discharge is different at different times of the month. Go to your doctor to rule out an infection or an std. Just don't panic. Good Luck.

If you don't feel well or are scared about it - go see your doctor. they've seen and heard everything, it's ok to be embarassed, but they've heard it all before. period blood can sometimes contain coagulated tissue - remember that you're not just bleeding - you are shedding blood and tissue that has formed slowly over a month. so it sometimes is thinker or has different consistencies. Gross but usually totally normal :)

I've concluded that the thing that is wrong with you is you lack common sense. Why else would you seek medical advice on yahoo instead of going to a doctor?

When I still had periods, I remember that happening sometimes, it was nothing to worry about. Are your cramps worse than normal? I don't know what that has to do with it, but I do remember ,when i had that, my cramps were worse than usual. I would ask my Gyno, just to put your mind at ease.

I would go check with your doctor because that almost sounds like a miscarriage (don't mean to freak you out) but if you feel that it is not normal, then trust your gut and get checked out...its always better sooner then later

It really doesn't sound sinister, just get it checked if you are really worried.

As for some of the others (you know who you are) if your not going to give people a polite answer, don't answer, it's not very nice what you are saying.

Yea, that's pretty gross. You found this on the roll already or after you wiped? Number 1 or 2? You may be pregnant. See a doctor. Hurry!

Yeah that's normal. Just the period blood mixing with your natural juices. Don' worry unless it turns very bright color and/or fills more than one pad an hour.
