Can a true sociopath be taught to empathize?

I am so completely horrified that Karla Homolka (if you don't know who she is......google her) has just had a child. I don't believe she has been or ever will be rehabilitated.

Please spare me the "she found God" BS.

Is there even a remote possibility that she is able to be a mother?

"mother" is a subjective term.. but if what you mean by motherly is caring, compassionate, self-less, and loving... than no.. she can not be..

true sociopaths view others (including a daughter) the same way that you and i view something like a car.. all it is something that we can use for our own purpose, and nothing more.. no true emotional attachment

A true sociopath cannot be reversed. Never. Literally, it's like there is a hole where their conscience should be. They do not sympathize or feel emotions.

I can get into the whole psychological aspect of it, but there is just so much to say.

NO a sociopath can not learn empathy. in certainty, scientific care makes them even worse via fact they locate out approximately human emotions and are greater effective in a position to mimick them and use them as an act to manage.

They say sociopathy is a social disorder, meaning there is not chemical or hormonal imbalance to bring back into balance...so NO!!!
