Merchandising Math question...please help?

For the month of June, The sportswear department has planned net sales of $138,000. The selling cost is not to exceed 8.2% How much can be spent for selling personnel?

You have to divide 8.2% by 100 which gives you .082. Then you multiply that by 138,000. Do that and your product should be 11,316. Now that is your answer.
