in starting all over again after a divorce? Is it REALLY worth the effort of dating and meeting new people.

You need to take some time for yourself and make sure you are emotionally ready to date and meet other people. Everyone copes with a breakup and divorce differently, but if you do not want to end up alone forever, at one point you will need to go out there and socialize. You do not have to get into a heavy and serious relationship right away, you can at least try and find venues that will give you a chance to interact with other people on a casual level at first (gym, social club, charity events. night courses). And when you meet a new person you really like, try and talk as little as you can about your ex.

For me it was. My first marriage lasted almost 2 years and my second one has lasted almost 25 years and is going strong. I figured the first one made me realize what I was really for and not to settle for anything less.

its worth the effort if you have gotten over your first before you move on to the next.
