Tom and Jerry is an Anime, a.k.a. Animation (A-Ni-Mee-Shi-yo-N).
In Japan, Tom and Jerry is automatically put in the foreign anime section.

Nope just a cartoon the first colour cartoon infact and the best aswell, nowadays some stupid cartoon charts like the one channel 4 has say its the simpsons but its not the official list still says Tom and Jerry, and we all know why cause its one hell of a cartoon.

The old Hanna-Barbera cartoon about a cat who chases a mouse who always outwits him? No. Anime is Japanese or Korean in origin, Tom and Jerry was created in America. So it is not anime, not even a little.
