I have not heard elevator music in ages -- but I hate it when you are put on hold and the music is about 3 times as loud as the persons voice that put you hold, sends an annoying blast through your ear drums.

Yes - especially bed versions of Greensleeves...

I hate getting hold music, it means that by the time I talk to the person on the other end of the phone, I'm mad angry and always have a go at them!!

haha the company theme song is worse especially when you are on hold for a long time and the song repeats...argh! so annoying! they should get a machine or make people press endless extensions instead.its pure torture especially when you call a provider company to complain about services it feels like you aren't getting any assistance at all. if i wanted to hear a lame song i'd listen to britney spears!lol!

I just hate being put on hold period. I miss the old days when real people answered the phone.
