Why? It's not like they're going to have an impact.

No, because you would be wasting your time. Anyone who supports slavery is either insane or one of those people who enjoy pushing other people's buttons and thrives upon ticking people off and provoking them to comment and argue.
Just stay away from this person and avoid giving them what they want - a confrontation. They are like trolls - don't feed them!

If they're ignorant enough to support slavery, do you really think that confronting them would have any effect?? I mean, Im trying to imagine the dialogue there. Lol! Nothing against the mentally ill, but seriously, try and have an intellectual conversation with one!

Exactly what do you hope to accomplish by "confronting" them. If they in fact support slavery it's unlikely you'll change their mind by simply talking to them. In our country of free speech it seems a bit intrusive to try to control someone's thoughts.

People support all sorts of illegal practices why do you feel a need to confront them ?just because they support something doesnt mean its going to happen just forget it and put it down to stupidity on their part to even admit such a thing.

Is it really worth your time? Do you think you will change their way of thinking? Slavery is illegal and this is very widely known and supported. Walk away from useless people.

er, we support and condone slavery 24/7... sweat shops and forced labour working for asian parents in corner shops for 6 hours a day and not getting minimum wage..thats slavery, and what do we do? packet of big skins please....

we let kids do paper rounds at 6am... for less than £2 an hour... because an enlightened governement thinks its OK... (i'll bet they never got up at 4.30am in the bleak cold midwinter)

kids need to earn, and they need to learn. and they dont need to be exploited by avaricious parents who treat them like slave labour and a commodity.

the face of slavery may have changed, we no longer have large coloured ladies called lulahbelle... so its harder to identify the slave masters... look to any asian based community... from China to India... and underneath the gaudy facade its run and staffed by illegals or underage kids... look out the back of ANY takeaway... thats slave labour, for slave wages under conditions which would appal a victorian philanthropist...

Well if its one of your friends then I dont see why two people cant have civilized conversation on a subject. But if its just someone on the street then I wouldnt, just let them be ignorant fools.

People are being confronted daily about this issue but there is little being done about it.

not really. it is their right to feel such a way. only if their views become action then you should confront the person.

depends on where you are. in Sudan ,for example, there are still slave markets in public! so it would be unwise to confront someone about it down there.
