Get used to it. Ron Paul's campaign is not now, nor has it really ever been, about winning the White House. He is laying the groundwork for real change and he is far too intelligent to think that is going to happen overnight. He and those who are intelligent enough to see that this country is in real trouble and it is only going to get worse have succeeded in winning delegates at the state level who have already made significant changes in the Republican Party. A growing new crop of candidates are running for political office, not for notoriety or any other ego-centric reasons, but because they believe that the future of this county depends on a real change happening. Ron Paul and his message of freedom and liberty for all are here to stay, and because his supporters are not concerned with fame or so short-sided as to see victory as winning only one race, they will not fade away. You may all thank these true Americans in 10 or 20 years when the country is finally back to the great nation it once was.

Some people complain because they have no one in their life. I think the ones who complain when they do have someone in their life are sad, but on days like this being single can be tough.

I hope all the single people in the world find love in some way. If I wasn't married I would get gifts for every single girl I know. Being married means dieing to all other women and living only for her.

God bless you all!

I don't think my boyfriend is getting me anything, but I'm not complaining about it. I would like, even a little note. You're right about the person I'm with showing love and affection everyday, but it's always nice to get something. Even if it doesn't cost anything. It's the thought that counts!

There were a few times when we really could not afford to get something for each other and I was happy if he just acknowledged that it was Valentines Day and if he was just a little sweeter that day it made me happy. I don't have to get anything but I would be upset if he just didn't even bother to be lovable

i agree....i think valentines day is over rated. it's just a bunch of pressure to come up with something cool, just cuz its a holiday someone made up. you should show your love everyday, it doesn't have to be some big gift

Yup. Valentines Day is just another prompting to spend by the retail industry. My hot girlfriend and I decided to ignore all mass hypnotic suggestions to slap plastic. When we give things to each other, we do so out of pure love and not because you;re "supposed to."

Well put. Love should be there always.. not just celebrated by how much you spend this one day of the year. Commercialization makes me arf:-p
