No, they leave them off
However, blind people can actually FEEL light and feel the heat of light more than non-blinds can (seers)
therefore, maybe some of them do

If someone is 100% blind then they will not be able to tell the difference between dark and light, but in the world we live in would probably have the light on to let the robbers know there's someone home

I knew a blind man (neighbor) and I would go over to his place and always forget - he was blind. That sounds - funny - but I would talk to him and say "turn on a light" "did you see that newspaper article about..."? "look at that" "it's right over there" (and I would point).
I quess I saw the PERSON and NOT the disability - which means - the PERSON was more the ISSUE then the disability.
No, they do not "turn on the lights" - EVER. .

I worked, and trained a blind person. They are trained to find everything in their surroundings. They are sometimes given added equipment for their comfort. Wonder of the world.

I imagine they wouldn't
when i was a kid i asked my aunt how blind people shop for their clothes. how do they know if they are in style or not?
believe it or not, my aunt put on big dark sunglasses and took me to the store right away. she pretended she was blind and i helped pick out an outfit for her. answered my question.
