Hilton Head Island SC. It is very family oriented with almost all resturants being kid frindly. Lots of kid friendly things to do like minurature golf, free 10:30movies (nice to get out of the heat or on a rainy day). Beautiful beaches with all the usual water sports. Lots of weekly villa villa rentals in all price ranges. If your in a villa you can save the cost of eating out alot. Lots of outlet stores across the bridge. Dolphin tours, Savanah is 1 hour away so you can go there for the day. Plus depending on whee youre coming from alot of the flights here go to savannah. US Air flies daily to Charlotte so alot of people change planes there. I live here and every summer we take a week off an be tourists.

Oralndo dosen't have a beach.. so unless you want to go there first to do Disney World, and then go to the beaches....
Florida is hot and humid in the summer, so i would stick to somthing closer like Cape Cod, or Maine. Virgina Beach is supposed to be very nice too.
