How can I setup LAN within my PC & Laptop???

I tried through 'create new connection'wizard, but my laptop doent locate on PC, I am using cable to connect both...Plz help..

Why would you want to connect your laptop to the desktop with an ethernet cable ?? The easiest way to do this is to get a wireless router. If you still want to connect the two pcs using an ethernet crossover cable, go here http://www.conniq.com/WinXPNetworking_Ethernet_direct_connection.htm

The easiest way to do that is to use crossover Ethernet cable.
