I am trying to find a job that I can work for on temporarily. I don't know how to find out if positions are hiring! How do I do this? Do I just walk in and ask them if they are hiring for anything???

Yes.
Walk in and say you are looking for part-time work and if they have anything available.
What is the worst they can say? No.
What do you have to lose? Nothing.

There are temporary staffing firms that provide temporary jobs.
You might want to look into that as an option.

Yes you go from door to door and ask them if they are taking applications. Do not tell them it is temporary or they might night not hire you. But it is good to give them a two week notice when you decide to leave. Only tell part of the truth for the whole truth can be held against you in this circumstance. As I was saying just go door to door and make hundreds of apps you are bound to get a phone call one time or another. Good Luck!!!

Don't forget that you can make instant cash on E-Bay, selling things that you have in your home. It is very easy, and it can be done in the comfort of your own home. You can literally go to work in your pajamas. What a neat concept. My husband and I earn a nice sum each month selling items that we no longer use, or the children have outgrown. It is much better than having a yard sale, and no need to worry about the weather. People shop on E-Bay 24-7, so you will always have customers.
Hope this helps.

I love to use www.indeed.com.

You just enter your job search parameters and it sends you a list every day of the new jobs from monster, the local paper, state job sites, etc etc. It's great because I have found so many jobs that I would have never found if I just searched sites on an individual basis.

You can specify part-time or temporary too so you only get jobs you are interested in.
Good luck.

If you have any retail experience, try merchandising. Companies can be found on line and they are always looking for help. Mystery Shopping is another avenue to try.

I predict you will NEVER find work if you have not even figured out that you LOOK in the classified section of your local newspaper, or walk into the establishments who are advertising in their windows (HELP WANTED). Or, sign up with an employment agency to work temprary assignments. You need some skills ont his last one. Are you really this dense? Rhetorical.
