After my dad passed away when I was 16, we kept feeling this force. One day, when I was sunburned really bad, I slept on my mom & dad's bed, because mine was a waterbed, and the sunburn made it too hard for me to get up and down. I was sleeping on my dad's side, and my mom came in to check on me. She put her hand on my are and there was a very strong vibration coming through my body. She has my sister come in and she touched my mom's arm, and felt it through her. This went on as long as I could remember, while we lived in that house. I also bought my dad a wind up doll while he was very sick in the hospital, and after he died, I put it on my headboard. One morning while I was lying there, it started playing, and it hadn't been wound up in months. I hope it was my dad saying hello.

I believe in the paranormal. I'm sixteen, almost seventeen, incredibly realistic and with the imagination of a businessman doing taxes and I know what I saw. When I was fifteen, I could see spirits. I saw three distinctive ones, and the rest were unbound spirits represented by the visible collection of energy. The first was a black cloaked figure standing by the refrigerator, right between the hallway that leads to the kitchen and the stairs (we have an open kitchen). I spotted it on quite a number of occasions (which is why I didn't doubt myself) and it wouldn't do anything. Just stand there. I didn't feel cautious of it, it seemed peaceful. I was just surprised that it was there. The second was a woman outside at the corner of the little market across the street from my house. She was very earthy and wore a flowy dress that went down to her ankles, it had stripes of burnt umber, brown, and tan. Her hair was a chestnut and long, pulled back into a pocohontas braid. She also had golden oval earrings though I could not see her face. When I turned around, no one was there (even if there was someone dressed like that there, it would be strange considering I live in the "ghetto"). The third was not a sighting per-se, however, one night after hearing that my friend was going to commit suicide, just after midnight, I spotted a shadow that wasn't my own. It was short and lanky whereas I am tall and fat. While I was washing the dishes in the kitchen, feeling sullen from the news, I kept feeling someone poke my sides. At first I thought it was my brother but he was in his own room, door locked, far from me. Well, the next day, I found out that my friend had thought things over and decided to finally come around. That night, the same spirit was there, poking my sides and tickling me. Perhaps it was trying to cheer me up? I don't know. After that, being influenced into thinking that I'm weird and psychotic, I began to ignore the spirits and never saw them again. Nowadays, I still see a few unbound spirits scattered accross rooms and running around on floors. It will only be a matter of time before I finally accept the spirits again. I fully believe in all the paranormal.

I was visiting friends in California, and one evening, many years ago, I saw a small, bright purple light in the sky. Over the next minute it expanded in a series of brightly colored odd-shaped rings. There was no sound involved with this, and it was the most beautiful and yet scary thing I have ever seen. I went running to the door of a neighbor's house to pull him out, and show him this amazing phenomenon! He came out, looked up, and said "Oh, it is just a missile from Vandenburg Air Force Base which exploded in the atmosphere. Happens all the time."
I really wanted to believe that it was some extraordinary phenomenon , but it was easily explained by someone who had the proper knowledge. I believe that this is true of all the paranormal things that people see and hear.

Yes, I do believe in the paranormal. One time while I was looking outside towards the garage, I saw a dark figure walk past the windows as tho a person was inside of my garage. I immediately went out to check, but no one was there and the garage doors were locked. I will never forget seeing the "person thing". I got the sense that he/she/it also saw me, and that is why it had reversed the direction it was traveling. Although it has been several years since this happened, it remains fresh in my mind. I continue to search for an explanation of how and why this dark figure could exist. I may never know the real truth.

I do believe in ghosts, I had an experience when I went into an old, closed phyciatric ward Sunnyland Hospital in Tallahassee. It used to be a hospital for people with T.B. Then it became a hospital for mentally insane people or mentally challenged people that families didn't want to take care of. It was closed down several years ago (at least 15) . The place has had all the windows and doors busted out, but beds still remain made with hospital paraphernalia lying around. The weirdest thing is that the third floor - (some say it is the fourth floor) - has always remained locked and no one has ever been able to get in there. If you go to the hospital late at night you can here shuffling and whispering coming from up there. And the sound of things being dropped. And weird things I've never experienced happened in there.
When I went up there one night to check it out. And I swear I saw someone appear and disappear looking out of the top window. Inside you could feel this weird cold around your body (and it's hot in florida!), you could hear things moving, the baby room sounded like you could hear the babies crying. I went in the room where they held the "crazy person" down and straped them to the bed and I swear you could hear screaming. When we left, some of us had weird handprints on the back of our shirts like someone was trying to push us out. It was the scariest thing I've ever been in!
I was always skeptical about all that, but after that night I definetely believe in it!!

Yes, I moved from a home and sold it at a loss to get out of it because of paranormal activities such as cabinet doors banging open and closed, stereo turning itself on and off and changing tuner settings by itself, washing machine turning itself on, people exhibiting weird behaviors upon entering my house (like a seven year old girl speaking in tongues and leaping around like a gnome).
I should have know something was up when I found old bloodstains all over the basement when I bought the house. It turns out someone died there violently. I'm a believer now no matter what anyone else thinks.

Yes, I do because I know it's true. One thing that happened was over my daugher's mobile home which is build on haunted land. I was in the living room and she went into the bathroom. She came out and asked if turned the fan on, and I hadn't. But there it was, spinning away. Something else over there, one of my grandaughters would feel the bed shake, pretty hard, when she was lying on it by herself. She said it was a "hamster" with RED eyes under there. She later changed it to a stuffed animal because she got scared when it kept happening. Another- at my home, my daughter was in the kitchen and the cold water faucet in the sink came on forcefully. I have MANY stories. If you'd like to learn more about ghosts, I suggest the website www.ghostweb.com. It's a great site and they're nice people!

I have wanted to experience something that cannot be explained. I believed for years, collected stories, read all I could and as time goes on I became more and more of a skeptic.
So, no. I no longer believe in the paranormal.

I've experienced all kinds of paranormal happenings in my life. I hate all my experiences and dread going to sleep at night because I just don't know what I'll dream of next.

Yes, I actually brought a spirit of a child back from Williamsburg Virginia with me when we went there on a trip. It was freaky - I felt it in the hotel - it came home with me and I would say things in my head to it - Like give me a sign if you......... No kidding, weird stuff like the clock on my microwave would say "hi" - I would find pennies all over my carpet - but I just vacuumed a few hours before. Really weird. I finally had to ask him/her to leave b/c I was just getting too creeped out. Plus my children would not for whatever reason sleep in their rooms at night by themselves. I never ever said anything to anybody about my child spirit, but when they could not sleep and didn't know why - I knew.

Yes, I've experienced a paranormal happening... And it was not something that could be explained away. And yes, I do believe in it. Before I experienced it I wasn't sure, now I am sure. I definiately believe it. My sister's old house was haunted. Sounds crazy, I know. I thought my sister was crazy. She wouldn't stay in the house alone. She was scared to.
My experience happened in that house. It was an old farm house.
We were at a birthday party for one of her kids. and...
I heard an infant crying. (There were NO babies in the house) I looked down the hall (cause that's where it sounded like it was coming from) My, then, Brother-in-law said "You won't find it." I just looked at him and said, "won't find what?" He said, "The baby you just heard. Your sister hears it too. You won't find it." I just stared at him in disbelief. I definately believe now.
