80% of bees are dead, whats your best guess as to why?

I am seeing these reports of 80% of the domestic bee population, which is used to pollinate agricultural crops, has suddenly died.

Bees are very sensitive to magnetic fields, could it perhaps be that something is happening on a magnetic level that is disorientating them so that they loose sense of direction?

What do you think the cause is?

One other thing, we are expecting a collapse of the seafood supply within 40 years.

I have also observed disturbing happenings. Increased atmospheric phenomenon in particular. Have you looked at the sky lately. The sunsets are becoming quite magnificent and colorful when in the past it was quite rare to observe such color on the horizon.

In January, the horizon looked like a wildfire, it was so bright and fiery and this was at sunset.

the atmosphere is changing, our world is changing and who knows what is going to develop in the near future. It's a little frightening when you think of where we are heading.

From articles I have read on Bees, It is caused by a parasite, A tiny mite in/on the bees.

They haven't found a way to kill the mites without killing the bees

I think you are a victim of media hype. There is no shortage of bees here in NZ.

Also, there's plenty of fish down at my market.

Vicarious - previous respondant: where are you situated? Red skies can be produced by all kinds of things, and can be regionally local. If you have had forest fires in your region, smoke particles can hang around in the atmosphere and produce really red skies at sunset.

It is not a global phenomenon. The sky is no different down here in New Zealand.

Stop the hype.
