With my first two it was easy. That is how I knew I was pregnant. It made me sick. With my third - Very Hard! I kept waiting for it to make me sick and it never did. I had the stress of being pregnant, which was not planned and 5 years after my last one - then my husband traveled all the time and I was home taking care of a 5 year old and an 8 year old. Needless to say, a lot of stress. I never did fully quit until I went to the hospital to have him - go figure! I knew the chances of something being wrong, and trust me - I felt guilty, but it never seemed to be enough to fully put them down. I hope it is easier for you because it really is better for the baby!
Oh, my baby is very healthy and a good birth weight as well. He is now 19 months old. Good luck.

I went through this. It's not easy at all....I think it is easier to do it when pregnant though because you have a reason...but it's still very hard. It took me about a month to quit completely....when I found out I drastically cut to about 2 a day....then 1 a day....then 1 every couple days...and so on...
It's not easy, that's for sure...but it does help to remember why you're doing it!
Good luck!

With both of mine. With my daughter I quit cold turkey. By the time I got pregnant again 7 years late, I was chain smoking again. This time I quit by two months pregnant. It was hard, but now that I am 5 months pregnant I don't even think about smokes daily anymore. I am not going to start up again

Well for me easy. The baby's health was more important to me and most smokers gain weight when they quit. smoking....so what better time to quit than when you are pregnant because you have an excuse to gain the weight and are going to gain the weight anyway. Congrats on the baby and good luck with the quitting smoking.
It is well worth it!!

I know that it's hard in any case to quit smoking, but I think that in pregnancy it should be the easiest time to quit. Because you are thinking about your little one growing inside you and the motivation of keeping it well should help you through it.
