What are the arguments or concerns over the new proposal "if you get married, and don't have any children in 3 years or divorce" all about?

I will say this, I don't dislike the person who is homosexual, just the behavior. They are people just like us, and are children of the same God. God says in His word that homosexuality is an abomination, and with that, I am nobodies judge, what they do is their business, but it shouldn't be forced on us by any means. I don't agree with this new proposal, and I agree with those who want to have children with they are ready.

The arguments are simple: Why should my marriage be annulled simply because we chose not to have children until we were emotionally and financially secure enough to raise them properly?

It does not make my marriage or my vows any less meaningful because we were SMARTER than other couples. Plus, we have been trying to have a child for two years and it simply hasn't happened. Again, this does not make my marriage any less valid.

This is a disgusting proposal aimed solely at eliminating the notion of family.

Well, plain and simple.

The religious right is using the fact that marriage is strictly between a man and a woman for the means of procreation.

The Gay and Lesbian community is only using what they said against them.

I think it is a smart move on their part. Maybe now people will get the point.

Gay marriage doesn't effect MY marriage...nor does it effect anyone else's. Those that are worried about gays getting married need to worry about their own so that we do not continue with a 60% divorce rate.

EDIT TO ADD:

I do find it comical that the same people that are crying about it only being for a man and a woman are the same group that have such a high divorce rate. How much is the institute of marriage in the US?

Well Im just getting wiff of this, and I will maintain my arguement on the subject.

The last thing I want my kids to think is that their first date is with someone of the same sex, when they are teens.
If gay marriages are allowed then thats exactly what will happen.

And as I wrote in another answer.
The reasons have changed for the homosexual lifestyle.

homosexuality is a learned behavior.
Before, gays were treated like second class ctizens and they stood up for their rights to be treat as human beings -- which is absolutely correct. But in that generation it was a different type of reasoning behind ones going into the gay lifestyle.

It was the wide amount of sexual molestation, incest, rejections, confusion brought on by lack of proper parenting, and alot of other reasons that led people to pursue that lifestyle.

Now, in its current form the behavior has lost its original cause. Now its something intriguing worth experimenting to many. Its not the same confusion as it once was, its more temptation that our next generation will see, if its ever widely accepted thorugh marriage allowance.

And thats not something I want my young kids to think accceptable. Not at a young age. when they are old enough to understand what causes homosexuality..abuse as a kid, abuse by family, abuse by loved one, etc...etc...and not, experimental llifestyle...well, stop being so self indulged and start thinking about the repurcussions of your actions is what I say to those that want homosexual unions.

Uh yeah, what Haliewa said.

People want to spout out that gay marriage should not be allowed because marriage if for procreations - so if you don't/can't/won't procreate then you have to have your marriage deemed invalid.

It just makes a point on how assinine people are not allowing same-sex marriage. It doesn't effect a single straight person in this country so why the uproar?
