From what I've come to understand, guppy fry generally start to sex out (where you can tell the males from the females) at about six weeks. I think the females will start reproducing at about 8-12 weeks, but I'm not positive.

To take care of your new fry, you don't typically have to do too much extra. If your tank is not heavily planted and the babies have no where to hide, there is the possibility that they will get eaten by the adults.

If the tank is heavily planted so they can hide, then you don't need to really do anything special other than grind up the flake food (or whatever you feed them normally) into smaller pieces so the fry can eat it. If your tank is not heavily planted, you may want to remove them, and feed them more often as the adults will eat the food faster than the babies can get to it. If you do separate the babies, you will also have to do more frequent water changes (every other day or so) to ensure that the water stays clean. Hope this helps!

It while be quite a while before they have babies. But Guppies multiply quickly I started out with 4 in my 30 gallon aquarium now I have about 50. Every day I look in there and find more babies.

Congrats! Your baby guppies will grow fairly quickly and will be near an adult size in about 2 months if you keep the water very clean and feed them several times a day.

i imagine that it may well be a more beneficial advantageous theory to feed it overwhelmed fish flakes, yet when that is all u have and are not planing on getting more beneficial then i imagine u can as a non everlasting feed, yet weigh down it first. if u have dissimilar guppies then feed them some tremendous overwhelmed pinches. if no longer too many then a million to three overwhelmed pinches of the food ought to do.

The answer to all your questions is, it depends on how well you can take care of them. Things like water quality(fish grow best in clean water) water temperature, and the quality and frequency of the feedings. Most of these depend on how frequently you are willing to do water changes and gravel cleaning. Have fun with your fish, and good luck.-----PeeTee
