Or are people just asking to see who agrees with their viewpoints. After all the left is the left, the right is the right. The Christians, Muslims Jews and Athiests are stuck in their ways also and none of them seem to hear the other arguments if they don't agree with their viewpoints.
Is it just me or can't you all just get along like Rodney King said, after they beat the crap out of him?
I'd rather read smart-as*ed comments than listen to fundamentalists and party-line politicos argue the same old garbage over and over!
Try to be reasonable in your answers
PS I am guilty of the smart-as*ed stuff myself

Black Knuckles. You created an account just to report this? Your profile says that you have never answered any other question, so why bother now?

Some do, most do not. I'm often in the Religion and Spirituality section and some questions are quite sincere, but it seems most are the same old rehashed things. I've discovered you can lump many questions into (note the inappropriate use of question marks):

1. I can prove evolution wrong?
2. I can prove creation science/ID wrong?
3. The Founding Fathers were born-again Christians?
4. Contradictions in the Bible?
5. Did you know atheists are going to Hell?
6. Are "God" and "Allah" the same? (details go on to attempt to state they are not)

What makes it worse are the people who ask a sincere question, such as "Am I an agnostic or an atheist?" (He then gives information, he is an agnostic). The replies include "No, go back and read your Bible and open your heart to the Holy Spirit!" and "Those are the wrong paths, you must be saved by Jesus Christ! He loves you!." These are not answers to the question and are totally inappropriate.

And then there are the people who like to thumb-down because they don't like your beliefs. I respect other's beliefs, but I do thumb down when they give wrong answers or their answer is a sounding board for the sole purpose of advertising their religion.

Do you want to know the truth? Religion and politics, left/right, Jew, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, Muslim etc. all this is about a divide and conquer technique of destroying mankind and slowing our progress. Even our monetary system/Federal Reserve is pure fraud. They are NOT a branch of government and the IRS was created by the FED to enforce the income tax rules THAT ARE NOT EVEN A LAW..Yes..paying income tax is NOT a law and even former IRS agents have been working to expose this fact. Read "The Creature from Jekyll Island" or watch the video "The Moneymasters"..this is not conspiracy BS but fact. The real enemy of man is Zionism..it is not Judaism but a political Ideology, even Christians can be Zionists. They control the government, military, oil, pharma, education, judicial system, the Fed, DOD and the media and use propaganda as a weapon of mass destruction, delusion, war and hatred. Anti Semitism exists because of ZIonism and as the love to use those words anti semite, most of the Zionist groups aren't even semitic (middle easter origins) but are of Indo Europeans origins. Zionists have perfected the art of the "false flag" attack. Pretend to be the enemy or friend and attack, then blame someone else. It can be done using violence or propaganda. learn about the attack on the USS Liberty. Israeli Air force attacked the USS Liberty knowing it was a US spy ship and tried to sink it so they could then blamed it on Egypt so the US could gain entry for war in the middle east. This technique has been used so often I can easily identify their actions. See "Occupation 101", 'AIPAC, "Jewish Lobby, a Danger to the World", Benjamin Freedmans speech in 1961, a former staff member under Roosevelt and a Jew that exposes Zionism. Knowledge is power as long as that knowledge is absolute fact. Unfortunately, since we were children we have been indoctrinated into a world of historical propaganda that has manipulated the world so extensively that it has created so much pain and suffering, and all by design. Peace and good luck to you.

I think in some ways there are views that do get changed while on Y!A. I think it is beneficial for some people to see other points of views.

At the same time though, Y!A has taken the "fun" out of it a bit with the deletion of accounts lately.

We now are to be very PC and have to watch ours P&Qs.

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, . . . and they're always glad you came .... ... . .. .. . . ... . . . .

Or, you can look at it this way

And if you don't give up and don't give in, you may just be ok . Say it loud.. . say it clear.. . you can listen as well as you hear . It's too late. .. .when we die. . . . to admit we don't see eye to eye !!!

I like that Yahoo can suspend your account for a "wrong" answer to a rhetorical question.
