Fat soluble vitamins are the only ones to be concerned with because the body will store them. The biggest problems could be from A & E. Water soluble vitamins like C will flush out of the body. You cannot OD on water soluable vitamins.

Some vitamins are hard to OD on. Vitamin C is one of them. You could take thousands of times your reccomended daily allowance in vitamin C and you would not experience any ill effects.
in general this is true for any of the water soluable vitamins. ( B vitamins and C are most common ). Your body can easily get rid of any excess through your urine. Yes you CAN overdose on them, but it's extremley difficult.
The fat soluable vitamins are the ones you need to be careful of.
The main ones are A,D,E, and K. Any excess of these vitamins needs to be processed by your liver. You can't eaily get rid of excess.. so there is a real danger of overdosing on these fat soluable vitamins.
Your prenatal vitamins are very powerful, you probably do not need anything more.. that being said, vitamin water generally only has a few vitamins in it. I believe they are all water soluable vitamins so they don't pose a real danger... but you are probably wasting your money on them when regular water would be just fine.

Most vitamins will be urinated out because they are water soluable. The ones that get stored in fat are vits A, D, E, K. Go easy on those. I would lay off the vitamin water because it has sugar and sodium which would make you retain more water and gain more weight. Drink plain old fashioned water but not exceeding more than 1 liter/day to avoid throwing off electrolyte balance. Water toxicity is of concern in pregnant women. Hope this helps.

Yes. The effects of OD on different vitamins differ. OD on vitamin C for example will only give you diarrhoea as the excess vitamins are excreted out by the system, but an OD of vitamin A will cause your skin to turn orange. Generally OD of fat-soluble vitamins such as A and D are more dangerous than OD of water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin C because fat-soluble vitamins are not as easily gotten rid of by the body.

I would check the levels of vitamins to see if you are exceeding the dosages; some ar harmful in large quantities, some are not. I'm guessing you are drinking the vitamin water because you don't like the taste of regular water, in which case I would try to go to regular water if it's possible.

Too much of anything is a bad thing. There are actually specific illnesses from getting too many vitamins...for instance, recently doctors warned us about getting too many calcium suppliments.
For whatever reason, these problems don't show up by getting too many vitamins or minerals during our normal course of eating. They only show up in manufactured suppliments.

I'm no doctor, but I learned in my nutrition class that you can run into some problems if you take too much of any vitamin. It messes with your body or something.

YES. Too much of anything is actually poisonous.
Dealing with pregnancy and vitamins I would ask my physician rather than the bunch of idiots we have here (myself included)
