"Dolphins have long become an inspiration for numerous authors of most kooky theories. One of the latest theories was put forward by Simon Clark, an astronomer at the Kennedy Space Center. He maintains that dolphins are indigenous to one of the moons of Jupiter. “Next to humans, dolphins could be the most intelligent creatures in our solar system so forget ‘the little green men,” said Cark at a press conference in Florida this January. No, dolphins evolved on this planet. Why would they live in oceans being polluted by humans if they were evolved enough to travel through space (unless someone brought them here)? My question is, "Did human beings completely evolve on this planet...or was there a DNA mixture?"

Fascinating article at the website you listed! Makes you wonder why more research dollars aren't going into communicating with these beings that may be more intelligent than we are (just not as evolved as we are in traveling away from this planet)!

A Scientist claiming dolphins are from one of Jupiter's moons are merely a sensationalist seeking publicity.
Every informed scientist (and most pilots, lawyers and professional dishwashers) know they are from the plamet Dolly. What most people don't know, however, is that minks, okapi's and the rufus-fronted feather-footed longtail boubou are also from Dolly.

Thank you for a delightful question.

my best subject

no dolphins don't come from outer space they evolved from an ancient k9 called myconokid then later evolved into 3 groups toothed whales, baleen whales, and dolphins now dolphins are the smallest of these creatures thats if you dont count the orca as a dolphine but these animals are very intellegant but i think that might have caused the thought of them being from space

DNA?

Anyone who thinks they could possibly be from another planet is insane and moronic - there are plenty of transitional fossils showing their evolution here - that was even without their DNA which shows they're terran mammals.

The quote you give doesn't imply they're aliens. It just seems to be stating that if we want to communicate with intelligent life we could do more to study the life on this planet.

They evolved here on Earth, there is however the possibility that the early ingredients for life on Earth first arrived here via comets or asteroids, so in a way it's possible that we all came from another planetary body.

Certainly not, except but if one more english scientist proposes like world's first dolphin's egg landed on earth implanted in a meteorite.

Nope.
They breathe gaseous oxygen. I wouldn't expect that from a life form from a moon of Jupiter.

What I'd like to know is WHY would you ask that question???
Btw, its VERY UNLIKELY that dolphines came from other planets since they have adapted to live succesful in water only.

As the second most intelligent form of life in the universe (after mice) I'm sure they do.
