nitrous oxide is the cheapest way.. it's also the way that will most likely damage your engine. It would cost you about 500 bucks to throw a nitrous system on there. If you want to spend several thousand dollars you could have a custom turbo setup built.

i trust you've a leak someplace so your coolant fix equipment isn't operating precise and also you basically imagine you've sufficient coolant. Fill it up on the radiator commencing, go away the cap off and watch the coolant. at the same time as the vehicle warms and the thermostat opens, you need to then see the coolant flowing previous the hollow. placed the cap again on and then examine it each and every morning for a week, If the point is going down, it's time to initiate searching for the leak. replacing thermostats gained't substitute some thing and leaving the thermostat out of the vehicle no longer in trouble-free terms makes it take longer to warmth up, besides the undeniable fact that it ought to have the vehicle operating in a decrease than optimal placing and reason later complications including your O2 sensor and catalytic converter. The leak is likely one in each and every of the reason you overheated the first time and were operating warm, because the equipment wasn't construct up the most ideal stress to keep the temperature decrease. you are able to also examine your fan and be conscious if it activates yet i imagine that is operating effective. solid success.

K&n filter and change the exhaust. Visit R&K speed shop online they have alot of hopups for a alot of chevy cars. Do you have a 2.2 or the 2.4 lt. try different sparkplugs and change the springs in each coil to allow a better spark, add a venom fuel rail with a stronger psi fuel pump. Youcan go with alot of different products for your car.
I have a 98, K&N filter, custom air intake, venom fuel rail, stronger psi pump, quad fire spark plugs, cat back exhaust, and thats all I have

Sling out the standard factory fitted Air filter, replace with a much nicer (and more durable) K&N air filter http://www.knfilters.com
Have the cylinder head ported & polished.
Fit a Sports exhaust
Only consider Nitrous Oxide as a last resort, as if you get the mixture wrong (i.e. too much), it has a slight tendency to cause your engine to melt.

Cheapest easiest way is to open your intake and exhaust.....
1. Replace stock air filter with Cold air intake system..... can be found on ebay.
2. Get a high flowing muffler..... Flowmaster, magnaflow...ect....
The better an engine breathes, the more efficient it will be on power and fuel.

Check out one of those "speed shops" and see what they have to say. There's a lot of "little" cars like yours driving around my town that are souped up, have loud mufflers and stereos, so I know it can be done. Fact is, I think some of them even are in clubs--like street racers or somethin. I'm not recommending that kind of behavior, but I'm just saying it's being done.
