i heard that as jumpers are falling the last thing they think about is how they're making a mistake, and that every one of their problems could have been fixed.

Jumping off a bridge is never a good solution, let alone the best.

If you have your health you are better off than many many people already. If your issue is clinical depression then you need to get professional help. Their is no shame in seeking help.

If you don't believe it's clinical and just believe you are in a nasty situation that seems to have no easy way out, then you need to step back consider what you do have VS what you don't have. Consider those who truly have nothing and yet still survive and then sit down an analyse your problem. This too may require help. It will probably not go away over night but you can put together a plan and then in time work the plan. Each day set small achieveable goals that will move you toward your end goal and you will see the results. Eventually you will correct whatever it is that is causing you pain. Also, recognize there will be set backs along the way. You will need to be ready to alter your plan but only when it makes good sense.

Just know your life is valuable.

Lastly, consider this... without dieing we have no idea what lies on the other side. The religious believe there is a final retribution of some sorts. Non-religious tend just to believe that death is an ending. But no one knows for sure. So imagine the worst possible situation and then ask yourself, with this being possible do you really want to take that chance???

I didn't.

Please seek professional help.

Best of Luck

The way I see it is like this:
1) You've got access to a PC so you're either at home using one or more than likely at an office (think of how many people in the US as well as other truly poor countries who cannot afford the luxury of a PC or a job for that matter.

2) if you gonna jump off a bridge it means you are healthy enough to walk there; own a vehicle; have access to one if you don't own it or have a truly good friend who will take you there, or tokens to get a train there or whatever. (this means you've got either money or own transportation - think of the starving people in Africa and other parts of the world who cannot afford clean water much less a car. think of that person with AIDS or Cancer or some other terminal disease, who'd give anything to be able to get a beautiful view of a bridge or the blind, the lame, the cripple)

I could go on, but I don't want to bore you or push you into jumping so I wont.

Like a few people have said, if you wanna go jump off a bridge - get a bungy cord of find one that's good for a nice dive and swim. if you go bungy jumpy at least you'd be alive afterwards and have first hand knowledge of how it would feel to actual jump should you choose to do so in the future (without the cord). if you go jump in the lake, we will assume that the water will be nice and refreshing so you'd come out feeling a lot better than you did before you jumped in.

Things as never as bad as we perceive them to be.

Good luck and sorry for rambling on.

Sure if you want to feel excruciating pain right before you die, considering you will break every bone in your body.

Clearly jumping off of a bridge is never the answer. Sure it would be real easy on you, but what about your family, seriously just think for a minute. All the people close to you will be overcome with grief, some of them may never get passed that. My father died three years ago, and I still cry about that. What you need to do is take a deep breath and tell someone how you feel, and go see a doctor. There are medicines and and therapys that can help you. Good luck.

First I would be worried about where i was going after I die, do you believe in an after life??? If so, were do you believe you will go after your death??? Have you resolved this issue before you thought of taking your life??? Better to find out where you are going, before you end it all, then to end up in the nothingness-Athiethism, or heaven-being saved, or being saved, or wherever the other religions say you will go after you die. I would also think about the the fact that you were put here for a reason adn that God made it possible for you to make it thru anything that happend to you, but that is a biblebelt answer.

well if you want to screw up traffic,or make a big mess for some one else to clean up it might, or it might leave you with injury's that do not kill you but will make the problem you now have minor by comparison, as how are you going to support your self stuck in a wheel chair for the rest of you life, paying some one to wipe your butt every time they have to give you an enema to have a bowel movement. oh yes the sex life defiantly be dead as well as other parts of you body, But you will have a lot of time to answer your own question, You know jumping of a bridge is not the answer, and you also know that you need to get professional help. so I will tell you to do that.

its a final solution so far from the best. There .are thousands of people in this world suffering mental disorders and have received treatment albeit a long drag but they have got there to then live a happy life bursting at the seams so think on and take a different line of thinking and i promise it will all come right for you

Too theatrical. Don't be a drama queen and mess up everyone else's day. Volunteer to be a xian missionary and smuggle bibles into Saudi Arabia or something. That way you achieve the same result but everyone thinks good about it.
