You must be a lot more responsible. If you have someone standing over your shoulder all the time when you're young, you're bound to get your work done, but later you'll end up not knowing or even doing what you're supposed to do. It's called a lack of self-discipline.

However, these promiscuous teenagers that you speak of--who make straight A's--are just as likely as a responsible and modest teenager who gets F's. Where you put your time and effort is what matters, and I guess that being preppy may fall under promiscuity--at least in these recent years.

It is a big generalization to say that sexually motivated teenagers all get straight A's, but in actuality everyone gets to make it there. There's always a reason behind failure or success. Depending on how you look at it, you'll find an answer. Apparently, these kids only "fail" in the apparel department. It's nothing new, trust me.

Dear. Some people are born more intelligent than others and some are just mediocre. The smart ones may just need to study an hour to get an A, but the average one may have to study 3 hours to get that A. but you must know your strength and weaknesses, so if you know studying 1 hour is not enough for you, study 3 then. in the end you still get the A.

Life is unfair, but it'll turn out right if you know how to play the game. :)

Smoking, drinking and sleeping around are undesirable habits, but that doesnt mean that those people are stupid/lazy/bad. They might have great time management. You'll learn not to judge people so easily next time.

Take good care and maybe you just need to study smarter, not only harder. like reading up on extra information instead of just your textbook, supplement your knowledge. as you go along, you might find knowledge fun to acquire and not just a dread.

take good care. have good safe fun (cause you already know that those habits are wrong). but remember all work and no play makes Jane a dull girl. aim to lead a balanced life style!

Well I am a good teenager and I don't do any of that stuff(let alone with more than 1 different person!) and I have always gotten straight A's. But I guess it's just that my dad is really smart and so is my mom. And my older sister and my brother. And growing up in an atmosphere with intelligent people creates for intelligent conversations which help you learn things. Little things count too! So try to learn maybe one new random fact per day! You would be surprised how much it would help!

For some really smart people, everything comes too easily for them and they get bored and don't know what to do with themselves, so they drink and smoke and fool around. I'm sure there are plenty of kids in your school who worked hard for their grades and don't have time left over, or if they do, they put it to good use with part time jobs, tutoring other students, or taking extra-credit classes. The ones you describe seem more common because they deliberately call attention to themselves. Don't fret about them. Just continue to do the best you can and set your sights on the kind of person you want to be. You'll be fine (and you won't be one of the kids who write here complaining that they're pregnant and now what are they going to do!).

The girls in my school w/ straight A's never smoked, drank, did drugs or had sex. At least not the 3 co-valedictorians in my class, which by the way were all female. I rarely drank, never smoked or did drugs, and I messed around a little when I was a junior/senior, and I had A's and B's. My best friend didn't drink/do drugs and had a baby at 17, and she made the honor society. WHY??? B/c she was smart and worked hard to get the grades. So, what does that say about your 'theory'???

i've got not got this statistic the two, yet I do think of it probable and that i will think of of dissimilar motives. If that's a US-based statistic, one reason is probable poverty: the fee of undesirable pregnancies gets bigger with decrease socioeconomic communities and just about around the board, the religiosity of human beings will enhance as you get poorer. One look on the bible belt is 'nuff mentioned. different the clarification why this may well be so are religious proscriptions against birth control and / or decrease tiers of sexual well-being practise. despite if the latter is by using being Christian is slightly perplexing to chop up from being unfavorable, as poverty additionally correlates with decrease tiers of practise. Its actually trustworthy of you to confess which you have not got a citation for this statistic. properly, its greater trustworthy than basically passing off the belief as a reality and waiting for all and sundry to settle for it, as specific human beings do (you comprehend, those types that have volatile intercourse each weekend and then flow to church!).

Some people are a lot smarter than others. Also they may have partied a lot, but then the next 5 days you did not see them studying and catching up on homework either. Unless you see them 24/7 they may not party as much as you think they do.

Well when I went to school there was a couple of girls who got straight A's because they doing a couple of the teachers. Eventually they got caught and into trouble. One of the girls got pregnant and had a daughter. So maybe that is why teenagers today are getting A's. Who knows for sure.

Simple, they either study enough to have the knowledge to get the good grades, or they cheat.

None of the activities you mentioned necessarily require someone to NOT take the time they need to study.

Perhaps your study habits aren't ideal. Do you have a lot of distractions around when studying? Do you have nay learning disabilities that you;re not taking into account with your study habits?

i was one of those kids, not sexually promiscuous, but i did drugs and drank alot during my school years and always made straight a's. I could sleep through all my classes and take the tests and ace every one of them.

It sucks and unfair to those kids that really do work really hard to get good grades. I'm sorry, and just keep trying.
