My power steering belt is loose. I have a 1981 camaro and i cant figure out what i need to loosen to pull the belt tight. I just know its super loose cause it makes really loud squealing sounds when i turn. I hate it. Help...

What bolts do i loosen? I dont know where to find them. Do i loosen the one in the middle of the pulley?

I think there is only 3 nuts to loosen the whole assemble, pry over , hold it , retighten nuts. Don't get too tight , you'll wear the bearing.

First push on your power steering belt with one finger if it deflects or pushes in no more than1/2" or less it is OK ... if it pushes past the 1/2 " mark , it is loose ... to tighten you have to loosen the 3 bolts or 2 , put a bar so as to pry tight the pump and with the other hand tighten the bolt that allows the pump to move from right to left ( don't over force the pump , or you will have problems with the bearings ) then tighten the bolts of the pivot point .. now if the belt is OK from the start then you need to have your pump steering fluid changed probably has sediment and ware dirt in it , have it a shop do it for you , there is allot more than just to empty and put new fluid .
