Young woman that are in their teens usually experience period interruptions and this is USUALLY normal due to your body still going threw puberty and your hormone levels are changing frequently. I would not panic. However, if you don't have a period next month you may want to talk with your mother and see about going to ob/gyn just to make sure that their nothing going on. There could be a lot of things that's causing you to skip a period, since you have already ruled out pregnancy, then stress is the next leading factor to skipped periods and this is normal for ALL woman young or old. I hope this helps ya understand a little better.

Hey. Sometimes when you really stress out about things, ie: not getting your period, your hormones get all messed up and it may prevent you from having your period for a bit but it should come within a couple days. Also, weight loss is another factor.. if you find yourself working out a bit more or losing weight more than normally that also may prevent you from having your period for a while. I know when I was going through puberty I gained weight and got my period then I lost it all and lost my period. Also, there are some types of medical problems that prevent you from having your period so you might want to check with your doctor. Just a tip: the birth control pill really helps with regulating periods. Good Luck.

I have had this same problem in the last year or so. I went to the doctor and she had no idea what it could be, they took blood tests and they came back normal, so she put me on a higher dose of birth control pill. I haven't changed my life style and I have no extra stress. The doctor said it just happens sometimes, sigh.

Every woman has their own unique body functions. Some women have very irregular cycles. You should see a gynecologist and talk to a female relative who can help (preferably your mother, but someone else if that is not an option).

you don't always have to have sex to be pregnant. but it could be something more such a ovarian cysts. most women get cysts and never know it but it can also be endometrosis or even stress. go get yourself checked by an ob/gyn or even a family practitioner. (family doctors can perform the same services as an ob/gyn for alot less money)

Could it be diet or stress?

When I was low carbing I had a much, much lighter period. Stress can do that too. So can lots of exercise!

Stress, massive diet change, vitamin deficiencies, menapause
and ... you may simply not have noticed it.

Don't laugh. The latter happens quite frequently.

This is more common then you think. You should defiantly have this checked out by a doctor.

Stress or even medication may be responsible.
