However one of the most powerful Democratic Senators, Edward Kennedy, is blocking the establishment of a wind farm on the east coast in the waters off Cape Cod. Reason being is that he can see if from his house.

Is this a not in my back yard issue or does Kennedy really support wind power?

People, this is not a personal attack against Kennedy. He does a lot of double speak about topics and this is one of them. Its great somewhere else, but not in the Cape where his family has a house.

Argle...it is not really a personal attack...it is fact...Kennedy does not want it because it would be in his back yard...The person asking this question is just pointing out the hypocrisy of the senor Democrats...it could have just been as easy a Republican, but if it had been it would have been all over the Liberal Media...this situation is just like a City Counsel wanting to put a new land fill in your county...it is always anywhere but where they live...

So Teddy doesn't like it ...tough!!

Something needs to change!!

We have become a spoiled society filled with greedy people who would harm or destroy the environment to make a buck or not to be inconvenienced!!

Don't just point the fingers at Kennedy though!

Those in the oil companies will try to denounce alternate energy sources as well!!

I stay in Staten Island, and human beings are announcing that we've been hit the toughest; the death toll is nearing 30, and there's a lot of folk who misplaced their properties, their automobiles, their possessions... and a few of my acquaintances nonetheless have not got their skill back. Having no warmth interior the wintertime sucks; i grew to become into FREEZING final nighttime! -- Rosie ?

Kennedy suffers from severe brain damage due to a lifetime of alcohol abuse. He probably doesn't care either way. If Kennedy died and his rotting corpse ran for public office, it would probably still get elected.

This is a "not in my back yard issue", but it doesn't seem to hold much water. We need alternatives to fossil fuels now, so, power up those wind farms now!

If I had the money, I'd put a windmill in my backyard, no matter what kind of exclusive neighborhood I lived in. I could look at it every day and think I don't have to pay a penny to the coal burners.

Typical of a conservative to take a debate about science and the future of the world and turn it into a personal attack.

It is a personal attack. Suck it up.
