This is a vacation for just me and my hubby, maybe for about 4-5 days and we live in the SouthWest.

I would say California. If you go to the right area you could snow ski in the morning and go to the beach in the afternoon!!!

I guess you would have to be more specific. They are both large states with pros/cons to each area.
I like Florida, however would choose the panhandle (Destin or Fort Walton), West Palm Beach, Clearwater, or Key West. I would stay far away from towns known for spring break sites because the hotels are a bit used-up and over commercialized. I don't like parts of CA that are close to LA because of the pollution, so if I were choosing a Disney location I would pick Orlando over the Inland Empire. Plus, with Orlando you have many other theme parks and things to do.
If I were going for the beach, I supposed San Diego is as nice as any beach destination in Florida except for the Keys, which is a one-of-a kind place to go that can't be compared to anything else.
Also for beach destinations: Have you considered the beaches of Texas?

Hands down...California! Why not Florida? Florida is too humid and the land is flat. Sure the beaches are kinda nice, but the scenery in California is much more breath-taking. Try venturing to Big Sur, Yosemite or Lassen Volcanic National Park. Those sights are just amazing. But of course California will always be more expensive to visit than Florida.

california. with the exception of orlando and the whole disney world thing and maybe kennedy space center, i find florida to be completely boring. I hate the weather and not a huge beach fan. California has everything from the beach to mountains to desert all in the same place. tons of variety depending on what you want to do.

I would go to California!!!...I mean that is my DREAM!!!...Well ive been to Florda 100000000 times!!..And its beautiful...but my mom went to California and brought me back pictures..and it was so pretty...I think it would be tha best-1 to choose...
