It is Season 2 episode 32. The episode is called Sakura Blossoms! That is the episode where she cuts her hair.

Episode 32: Sakura Blossoms Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are in the second phase of the Chuunin Exams. Naruto and Sasuke are still unconscious from fighting Orochimaru. Sakura is left in charge of protecting them(oh boy sakura has her teammates' lives in her hands.) The three gennin from the sound village attack. Lee is out trying to look for a scroll. then he finds that sakura is in trouble, since he likes her, he protects her. the 3 sound ninja are much stronger than lee. Sakura thinks how she is useless and never contributes to the missions. she is being held by the konoichi of the sound team. then she cuts it off. Ino's team is watching behind some bushes. ino realizes sakura on how much she's grown. It's a really good episode. hope it helped give u a preview
