What is the cause of terrorism, riots,greed,corruption and why can't people live peacefully?

Ignorance is the root cause of all these things. It comes from desperation and lack of complete understanding of the purpose of life.

All people have goodness with in them – but temporal motivations from pleasures and false ideologies – be it money or be it a conceptual heaven after death - make them blind. Each person should understand that he is not going to find the divine if he cannot find divinity in the person very next to him – for prayer and meditation is seeing God with in us, love is seeing God in the person next to us, and wisdom is realizing that the God is omnipresent - Since God is the think dense blissful consciousness that fills everyone and everything.

A permanent solution for violence, terrorism, riots, greed etc is not counter violence – instead, we can bring a change only through peace and harmony. Violence against violence is just like playing a merry go round – and this foolish cycle can only increase the hatred in society and the number of dead bodies.


A few so called religious and political ‘leaders’ playing religious play cards, are busy cultivating hatred and violence in the minds of their supporters – against other religions and groups. They often do this by reminding their followers about some unfortunate communal incidents or riots that had happened in the past. In this way, they cause an identity crisis in the mind of people, and turn them towards violence, mostly for securing their own positions. This is one of the most important problems our society is facing today. History shows that no one got enlightened by cultivating hatred in society – instead, the path to self realization is the path of selfless service, compassion, and sharing and caring for our fellow beings. This is the path shown by all prophets and religions

Terrorism&riots are due to greed because no one is contended and that leads to corruption.
People can't live peacefully because of people.
Yes, people spoil the world for their own benefits.
A politician may want to have a cement factory, so he reduces the price of raw materials pertaining to that.
A real estate brokers association may need more commission, so, they may increase the land value and so on in each and every different field.
People kill People for money and land.
Your father saves for you and you save for your children by exploiting other people.
Who cares a damn when you are manufacturing adulterated medicine as far as you and your children are not affected because of that?
Philosophically, people will get the punishment in the court of God.
Politically, you can escape punishments even from the Supreme Court Lord.
Pyscologically, you don't think others are bad, but, you be good.
If each one turns good, the whole world becomes good.

That's a pretty big question, and I'm sure there will be postings with the usual stock religious answers...

Terrorism - religious intolerance, plain and simple. People just cannot be content to bask in the comfort of their particular road to salvation/righteousness, they have to tear down on others' beliefs.

Riots - the inability to distinguish between peaceful protest and destructive protest. Just because you're upset about something doesn't give licence to destroy public or private property.

Corruption - the notion that one does not have to live by the most basic social laws; that they can get away with robbing and cheating someone else.

Greed - some basic problem with one's own self-image. Enough will never be enough with a person like this. Once you have the basics of food, shelter and the love of a good partner, what is the point of the never-ending pursuit of additional wealth? How much is sufficient?

Well as for terrorism and riots as long as there are those who believe their way and only their way is the right way and are willing to kill everyone who disagrees it will always exist so long as society is willing to turn a blind eye to it. As for greed and corruption well it all depends on the ethics of the politician or businessman.
