My wife has a 2006 Mazda 6 with leather heated seats. The problem is that when you turn them on, after a few minutes they get very hot then they will cool off and seem not to be working at all. We had heated seats in our 2002 Jeep Liberty and they provided a constant, even heat as long as they were on. The Mazda dealership said they didn't know if this was normal or not due to never hearing of this before or not experiencing it first hand. Any help or someone with the same issue would be greatly appreciated!

they have an internal thermostat, when they got too hot they will shut off, cool down, then turn back on. Just normal.

I have the heated seats in a Ford. The button has two positions on it, one for low and one for HI. Also, they will turn theirselves off after about 10 minutes. They figure that the engine heater will be hot by that time anyway. I start mine on HI and then when I feel the warmth, I turn them on low until they go off. Good luck

i've got had an 2006 and now I truthfully have an 07. 2007 has AWD, navigation, sirius satellite tv for pc, rear spoiler and iPod port. i like the 07 so lots greater valuable. There are constantly downsides to getting a motor vehicle the 1st 3 hundred and sixty 5 days that's in production. there have been little quirks in my 06 that are no longer in my 07.
