What do you believe your responsibility as a citizen is if you suspect abuse? If you suspect that a child is being abused, what should you do? What do you believe should be done to prevent child abuse? What types of treatments do you believe are most effective?

First, child abuse should always be reported to the proper agencies in the area you live. I feel it is everyone's responsibility to report if you have good proof abuse is taking place. The "it takes a village" thinking comes to mind...
As far as preventing child abuse...the only way that will EVER happen is if people are required to get a "license" (just like for driving or anything else) before being allowed to become parents. Local, free parenting classes may help short of a stern and highly controversial thing like a license....
I have yet to see "treatments" that appear to be effective.

They are good questions, but you should also as some basic yes/no/maybe or agree/disagree questions to compile statistics for the paper.

Things like:

Do you believe that the government should take a more active role in preventing child abuse?

Do you think that they government is too intrusive in parental care of children?

Should anyone be REQUIRED to report abuse?

These aren't great questions, but they give a general idea of the formation of such questions.

Good luck with the paper! :-)

report it to the police and children agencies. I believe that are more tolerant society regarding prostitution would greatly help preventing abuse. Legalize brothels, consider prostitutes as social workers which I believe they truly are.
