system install cd, does that mean all i have to do is install it and i will have that operating system on that computer with no problems? and how hard is it to install an operating system?

maybe. it could be just the cd for the laptop that puts a bunch of software in it. but try it - put the cd and reboot from the cd. no it is not very hard to install an os. you simply put the cd in and follow the instructions. good luck!

If it comes with the CD but not the Operating System License, then you will need to get a license to install it.
This is just a code that companies like Microsoft give people who own legitimate pieces of their software.
Installing the OS is not difficult, but getting and downloading all the drivers takes a bit of time and patience. Just go to the laptop manufacturers website and download them from there once the operating system is installed.
