Same here, Ive had a valentine the last 8 years and now that I don't it just seems hard to make V-day seem like just another day. Maybe i'll take my mom out to dinner and she can be my valentine

In Ancient Rome, February 15 was Lupercalia. Plutarch wrote:
Lupercalia, of which many write that it was anciently celebrated by shepherds, and has also some connection with the Arcadian Lycaea. At this time many of the noble youths and of the magistrates run up and down through the city naked, for sport and laughter striking those they meet with shaggy thongs. And many women of rank also purposely get in their way, and like children at school present their hands to be struck, believing that the pregnant will thus be helped in delivery, and the barren to pregnancy
i don't celebrate vday cuz of its strange origins. i'm not buying into it. and if you are christian it seems kinda sacreligious to me what with the Zeus and Hara marriage connection to the date.

it sucks, yet another 3 hundred and sixty 5 days on my own. i hate it this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days greater beneficial than known b/c...long tale short, i truthfully like a woman, she is getting married, she is conscious how i think and that i cant have her, she is often on my ideas yet i wont get to make a fuss over her like i choose i could do. i see valentines as a each year reminder which you're the two very fortunate you have somebody and its form of a push to make an effort, a push to maintain the romance going or for those available on my own, its the main depressing day of the three hundred and sixty 5 days.

I'm anti... but for alternate reasons. I don't see the big deal with some day in february. I say I love you everyday and buy things when I feel like it... I don't use this day as an excuse to overdue and feel I HAVE to.

Not so much anti, I just don't get what all the fuss is about.
I'd much rather hang out with friends...
The girl that I'm currently with wants to do all this crazy mushy stuff, and I don't understand why.
It's just one day.

V-day is a catholic day relating to Saint Valentine. I don't really care for it or what it has become. Not that my opinion has anything to do with the fact that I'm always single on v-day...

My girlfriend is anti-valentine's day. She wants to celebrate Halloween instead. Halloween is more fun

Nope, because I don't think that showing your loved one's with love and admiration should be restricted to one day only.
It's all commercial anyway.
I love and adore my partner EVERYDAY of the Year...
