I gather your torn meniscus doesn't require surgery.
Non-surgical treatment with rest, ice, compression, elevation, and physical therapy. This may include temporarily wearing a knee brace. I would talk to your doc. it all depends how bad it is & if it is affecting both knees. Then you could weight bear on one leg.
I would try changing your diet. Avoid all white stuff (sugar, flour, rice & fatty foods). Also, any sodas, coffee & alcohol & drink lots of water. Good luck.
