My daughters car seems to be overheating it does have a known water problem however as to what the problem is i am hoping someone will be able to tell me The water pump was replaced before we bought it however it still seems that the water is not getting all around the engine as the bottom radiator hose and another hose seem empty although all the pipes do get hot . I have flushed the system but i cant seem to refill it fully there is nothing wrong with the colour of the oil as someone did suggest this would show a head gasket fault i really am not sure what else i can try i have heard you can get airlocks in the water system however there are no bleeder holes on any of the hoses so i don't know how to check this any advice will be appreciated

thermostat, then try bleeding the system, there is usually a placde to unscrew a thing that looks like a dust cap on the left hand side of the engine located on the water pipes, could be an airlock that this may clear.
Afterthought, i wonder if someone has used radweld or suchlike and blocked up the water galleys???(major job)
good luck

Have you changed the thermostat? Thats the most likely cause assuming the water pump is ok.

After that my next guess would be head gasket, When you get it hot are you getting a lot of pressure building up in the header tank?

I wouldn't spend too much money on it as the car is probably worth less than any repairs.

I'd try taking the top and bottmo hoses off and putting a high pressure hose in the top and try to get the water to come out of the bottom hose. You might need to run a descalers in the sytem first though like rad flush etc
