the playstation2 turns on but it doesn't read the games. i tried cleaning the disk but it didn't help. is there a place the fixes games systems and what should i do to fix it?please help.

Did you clean the interior lens- If you have a disk read error on your playstation 2 console buy a dvd lens cleaning kit for under 12 dollars. Insert the cleaning disk cd into the ps2 system and let it clean. It may take one or two cleanings to fully work. Then clean once a month by repeating the above steps.

It could be the eye within the PS2 and not the disk. Often, secondhand game stores offer cleaning and check-ups for systems. Go see them about it. I do know that with any CD based system dust particles and that kind of jazz can blur the eye within the unit and make it unable to process the information.

The same thing happened to mine. You can hear the cd spin, and then nothing. I took my playstation apart and cleaned it with a vacuum cleaner. You just have to be careful not to shock yourself as they can be damaging to you. To this day the PS2 still has some trouble reading some games on the first try, but then I reset it and it picks up the game.

see if the ps2 is clean and make shur u dont have a crazy dad that throus them acros the room like mine
ps.if ps2 dirty on insid it will get game dirty
