Some guys, or should I say most guys? just aren't romantic and don't plan for any special occasions like Valentines, Christmas, Anniversaries nothing. A last minute gift from the convenience store is a major accomplishment, if they remember on the way home from work. If it really is a major concern for you, reconsider the marriage. He's not going to get better.

I hate valentines day too. And I'm always broke around the holidays too. I think valentines day sucks, if you want to do something on valentines day you should plan it yourself. You know he's going to do the same thing everytime, now its time for you to take matters into your own hand.

He might not place the same value on holidays as you do. Depending on his background and upbringing, this can be a point of conflict.
Let him know that you value holidays, and that you'd appreciate a gesture. If he doesn't have money to spare, there are plenty of things that the two of you can do to celebrate special occasions. Don't limit yourself to gifts and so forth, because that might be exactly the problem. Get creative!

truthfully! - that is human nature to experience that retribution, in some vogue, has been dealt out. that is okay to experience for him and his discomfort on the 2nd yet what you may desire to be extra worried approximately is i what this smash up of his would desire to point to you - if he made some style of attempt to return to you for convenience, 'forgiveness', reconciliation...... i'm valuable element of you will think of 'possibly you relish me now - perhaps you presently understand how plenty i became worth to you.....' that's additionally frequent and human nature - yet - think of deeply approximately why he grew to alter into an 'ex fiancee', how he taken care of you once you broke up - he gave the impression to be driving severe and did no longer supply a rattling approximately you and your thoughts then, and then think of roughly your guy or woman self esteem - if he asked would you communicate taking him lower back? would desire to you? in basic terms your guy or woman judgment of right and incorrect and private ideals of wonderful and incorrect can inform you that. for my section i'd say save him at hands length in case you do no longer prefer to tutor him away thoroughly - do no longer supply him a 2nd risk to harm you as badly as he did the 1st time

Since this happens on a regular basis, maybe you should do the planning yourself, it doesn't have to cost much or anything at all,a romantic dinner for two, champagne, soft music in the background, are you sure you want this man, till death do you part?, he's not going to change when you marry him.
