I m 25, looking for a carrer change to software from technical teaching. I was adviced my mentor to take up Oracle 10g. I have no clue why my mentor suggested me this. I will be happy if you could answer me
1. What is the certification fees & course duration?
2. What is the future of Oracle 10g?
3. Is this right career option for better & greater future?
4. Will I able to join a software company in say 5 months time?

this is a good place to start reading, also if your looking for a computer job in america u can goto www.computerjobs.com and see what they need. eg what companies are looking for experience wise, since it can take months to be good at coding in oracle
also on that site has the certifications you can do etc..

3) Depends on your competencies and your definition of a "better and greater future". Why are you getting into software and IT?
