I do believe he should be removed from the show. If TR Knight had made a racial slur against Washington, he would have been fired without hesitation. This situation should be no different.

How does calling a gay man a "f*ggot" make you prejudice?
There is a truthfulness to the pronoun he used.
If I do something stupid and you call me a moron does that make you prejudice or merely harsh in how you express yourself?
The fact is TR is a gay man and a pronoun for a gay man is a "f*ggot". I would spell it clearly but hypersensitive censors would block it out to be politically correct, in other words cowardly.
I can come up with a lot of derogitory words for a gay man all of which would be prejudicial, "f*ggot" is not one of them. It is the equivalent of the word lesbian and that is all over the place these days.
Gay men should not be ashamed of being called a "f*ggot" and people should not be assaulted for for using the proper pronoun for the person being described.
Yes it had nothing to do with the situation at hand the day it was first used, but, I think I would start calling you names too if you kept showing up late for work and kept me waiting around all day to shoot my scenes. That is what Knight did wrong. He kept everybody waiting on location as he was late once again and Washing was angree thatthis was not eh first time and as professionals they should be ready and on time when it is time to film something.
If anyone should be fired it is Knight for that reason.
Washington apologized.
He apologized again after the Golden Globes, why I am still not certain. He did nothing wrong there. He was asked a specific question and he gave a specific reply. That is what you do when you are asked "Did you call T R a f*ggot at a press conference?" deny it. He did and he got bashed in the news for using the same word again. That is ridiculous.
He has sought counselling to appease people.
Now you want him fired.
It doesn't read like he is the one with a problem here.
You admit that you never liked him or his character. The never part is where you demonstrate that you have a prejudice here. Nothing this man does or says will make you happy, so; why bother asking others how they feel? It won't change your mind.
Simpl stated, he should not be fired. People shopuld drop this and move on and Knight should be reprimanded for his spot on Ellen where he discussed the incident on television. If they had gone on the show together fine but as is Knight gave the show yet another black eye in effect calling Washington a liar on national television. Of course, he never said Washingto called him a "f*ggot". What he said is washing referred to him as "that f*ggot" when talking to someone about him. That is not the same thing as Washington calling Knight a name in hatred to insult him. It is more like the trash talking that goes on in basketball to vent your frustration and psych yourself up for the play.
BTW, in case you don't know this , the scene in question when this all happened was the scene of all the guys at the lake camping, the one where Knight and Washington are bonding at the lake. They were supposed to be in most of each other's scenes that day and so you can see how Knight being late would upset Washington more than the other actors. And if you remember right there is a fight scene in that show between George and Alex that set the tone for that day's shooting. It is understandable that the actors should be a little testy.
In short, let it go. If either acto leaves the show will suffer as will the actors in the show.

I think he should keep his opinions to himself, too. I don't know about being fired, though. That would turn it into a racist thing as well. What bugs me is now I have heard that TR Knight wants to quit! He shouldn't let Washington win like that! I guess we will have to wait and see. Washington has done a ton of charity work for kids. I suppose he deserves another chance. I don't like the Burke character very well and maybe the cliff hanger in May will be a death. Guess we will have to wait and see how it plays out.

i think that Isiah does have a temper sometimes and consequently the two arguments between gray's Anatomy forged presently. I say the 1st 2 cases would be warnings, and the 0.33 time he could receive outcomes. i think sorry for T.R, yet in addition the the remainder of the gay community. even with the actuality that he wasn't directing in any respect the gay/lesbian community yet as you mentioned, it would be as undesirable as calling Isiah the "N" word. that's the society right this moment and we gained't help what has already been completed.

I do not want him kicked off of the show, BUT, I do feel he should at least be suspended from a few episodes. I think he's a good actor, even though I'm not crazy about his character on the show or in person. I do want to see what happens with him and Christina.

if anything he should be fired because of his attitude and not his so called homophobia.
if that was the case, then everyone in the united states would have to go to rehab about some type of phobia...its ludacris actually. why should he go and speak to the gay community, just like why did they make a big deal about Kramer saying the N word? everyone is sooo overly sensitive...this is america and we have freedom of speech as long as its not hurting anyone. as a black person, we take things to the extreme at times, just like gays take things to the extreme.
being gay is a lifestyle and i think that it shouldnt be broadcasted. what you do in your bedroom is your business. if that is the case then i should start a "i only prefer big black p*nis'" community..my point is , that would be my preference and not a lifestyle.

No. Personally I think political correctness in this country has gotten way out of control. I say stupid stuff every day, and if I always had the cameras on me I'm sure I'd be busted too. I'm sure it's that way with lots of people. Nobody's perfect. This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion.

I don't think he should be kicked off because he makes that part, and I wouldn't enjoy watching someone else, unless they get someone way more talented!! But they shouldn't just ignore what he said. Cause I'm sure he wouldn't like it if someone said something about him being an African American!!

No, i believe that most people in America are sick and tired of not being able to speak their minds because of the fear of upsetting one group fo people or another. I don't remember ever learning or reading anywhere in the Bill Of Rights or Constitution that you have the right not to be offended.
