I recently got a paraguard IUD. I was wondering if anyone else has one and if you could tell me about how long you had bleeding after insertion. I have been bleeding for 14 days, and have went back to my O.B. and had the IUD's placement checked. That is fine. I was told that different people react differently and I could just bleed longer than others. I have already read numerous online articles about this- I am looking for personal experiances only Please. Thank you.

My first paragard I didn't bleed at all abnormally... that is, until I started to expel. (Boo for not having been pregnant before!).
This time around I'm having the craziest cycles. I'm spotting during my off times and having no bleeding during my period times. (So... it was about 20 or so days straight of spotting.) My IUD is in place and everything is OK, so it's just the adjustment period. (I'm currently on my 3rd month, but it usually takes about 6 months or so to completely regulate your new cycles.)
I'm just riding it out now because hormones and I don't get along too well.
