Mine was pretty good , cheeky cards from my students. My car decorated with pink and red balloons by the boys.
I won't tell you what they wrote on the side of my white car, that's a sure violation!
I was taken for a meal this evening, but we all have to be at work tomorrow, so can't go on too late.
In a way, I'm glad it's almost over. I've had so many emails from people saying they feel lonely.
Anyway, If you didn't get a card or good wishes.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO YOU!
Best wishes, Cassandra

You seem like a lovely young woman. I'm sorry that Valentine's Day didn't work for you, sweetie. But...take it from me...an Auntie Barbara from way back...there are many years to come.
Bill and I are together now for 7 years. We met on the Internet in 2000. I had been living alone for 3 years and he had been alone for almost 10. We took our time...didn't meet for 4 months and spoke only through e-mails. Thereafter we dated for 18 months before we moved in together. We took our time getting to know each other...I made sure that he loves animals and especially cats as much as I do.
Dear, Valentine's Day is only a day. Bill and I really don't celebrate it. We also don't celebrate Christmas, New Year's or either of our birthdays...mine is December 24th and his is January 2nd. Instead we have "just so" and "just because" days. I might see a lovely pair of cotton trousers that he may love...I put them under his magazines for him to "discover" after work...no holiday...just because. Bill often will leave things on the dining table for me to "discover"...pretty rocks, kiwi colored things (kiwi is my fave color!)...you name it!
We remember each other for the everyday people we are. We do things for each other because we respect, trust and love one another to want to live our lives together.
Sweetie, take each day as a new day. What helped me in the 3 years when I was alone? I took lots of chances to volunteer for the less fortunate. I spent time with the lonely, the elderly and the unwanted. I gave and gave....and the Universe (God) has given back to me more than a hundredfold. Each day we still take every chance to give....each day is a new and beautiful treasure.
I will have a talk with God about your Yahoo question....please, dear, take one day at a time. Beautiful things are coming your way...our prayers are with you!

I'm going to be alone for the first time this year. I just got out of a seven year relationship and I am not really with anyone yet. SO I planned out this day for awhile. I was going to go rent untamed heart(older movie) and buy some beer and a small choclate cake(meant for two) and get drunk watching my movie and then eat my cake. After that I was supposed to hang out with my boss because he's alone too. But I can't get the movie for rent or sale anywhere in Indianapolis and my boss can't make it back because of the snow. SO I guess I'm going to rent some other sappy movie and get drunk and eat my cake. I know I'm pathetic.

I have a snow day, and I can't see my boyfriend today. It really sucks because we've been going out for two months, today! At school we have that thing where you send carnations as V-day grams, and I know that he got me one. I was really looking forward to today!
