I would talk to your female relatives (mom, sister or aunt) & see when they started, this would give you a better idea when you will start. It's good to bring a pad along keep in your backpack to be prepared. :)

There's no way to know when exactly you will get your period but I'm sure it is coming soon. Here are some warning signs:
*Moodiness/ over emotional
*breaking out
*Breasts may feel swollen
*pains in your stomach

Don't worry about it going through your pants. And if you are worried that much you could put a small panty liner in your underwear each day, but only if you think it's coming soon. If not that will be a lot of wasted panty liners.

Personally, when i got my period for the first time it was very very light and i only noticed it when i went to go to the bathroom there was a small amount of blood. Maybe you'll luck out like i did.

Keep a pad in your back pack so you feel more prepared for when it does come. Also, as weird as it sounds, if you feel a rush or warmth between your legs go to the bathroom and check.

it's different for every girl but you shouldn't worry at all about it going through your pants. since i don't have regular periods (after 10 years!) i never know when it's coming and i've never had it go through. somehow your body just knows that it's come and you'll feel the need to go check. it has gone through to my underwear and that sucks but i've never bled all the way through. i was 12 when i started but i think i was heavier than you like maybe 125 lbs. i had really bad cramps the first time and i had a feeling that's what it was because i had never cramped like that before. and sure enough my first one came later that night! but everybody's different. it's nothing to worry about at all.

dont really worry about it! i doesn't really matter how much u weigh! if you do get it then i most likely wont be a lot the first times so u wouldn't bleed through! If you think that you are getting discharge then i would wear a pantyliner each day! if you choose to wear pantyliner then if it comes at school you will be fine!

Hi, Age and weight have nothing to do with your period it matters how fast your insides are growing, you may want to talk with your mom, some people are late bloomers, but there are panty liners, you can use don't use tampons you can get sick if you do. You can also talk with the school nurse she can help you too.

women have been known to start from age 8 to 17.. it all depends on your body.

good thing that nature has provided a way for you to know when it is likely to begin.. many girls experience a clear/milkly colored discharge this is your sign that your period is comming soon
