People remember best with multiple exposures to the information.
Study for an hour or so then take a break, then go back over what you studied before. Try and have 5 or 6 exposures before a test, so studying every day is better than cramming.
I use flash cards, I make tapes/cds to listen to (I read my own notes out loud and I can see the page of notes in my head when I hear my own voice!).
Talk about what you are learning as much as you can. A study group where you ask each other questions is helpful.
Sometimes you can put the material to music- that is why we sing the alphabet- it helps kids remember.

The easiest way is what works best for you. Some people create sayings to help remember long lists of items (Every Good Boy Does Fine--the letters of notes on a piano key board). Some people create songs because they are musically inclined. Some people write it over and over again. Some people read it many times and get a visual picture in their minds. Others have people quiz them or make up their own test.

At my school we did an experiment, where each class studied different ways before we took a grammar test. One class used note cards, another made a song, and other classes used a couple other methods. after we took the test, the class with the highest average score was the class that used flashcards. The second highest average was the class that used a song. So I suggest using flashcards. Good luck!

create a plot out of it.. this way, you'll know what to remember next.
for example, to master the organelles, i remade the cell into a gift shop. each organelle will then be functioning with its own work to produce a gift.
to memorize a process, you can make an adventure.
to compare or contrast, you can create a battle.
my imagination memorizes for me.

i guess it depends on what you're memorizing. i have my students memorize poems this way.
read the poem aloud once. cross out 3 words and read it again. say the missing words as well. cross out 3 more words, read again. keep doing this till there are no words left on the paper. i have students who still remember poems i taught them 10 years ago using this method.
