I have been a comic fan for years and I don't think anyone who isn't bullet proof could make it as a superhero. Ask yourself if someone came @ you and you had a gun in your hand wouldn't you just shoot him. I don't care how rich, high tech, Scary or athletic you are. A bullet to your unprotected face and your going down. I don't think even Spider-man and his spider sense would make it.

Batman isn't a SUPER hero with powers, he's simply the strongest, smartest, and most wealthy human being. So I think its definitely possible as long as you did have the funding Bruce Wayne has along with his education, intellect and physical training. First you would need the money because there would hardly be time for a job, then you would have to go to the best schools and universities on the planet for many years while doing daily physical training and exercises that would make Olympic athletes and champion UFC fighters seem like wimps. You would have to learn advanced Yoga techniques to be able to learn stretches for flexibility, to aid healing of sore muscles, to keep the mind focused and relaxed, and to be able to run on very little sleep. You would need to heal yourself and others at times, so you'd have to have medical experience and knowledge of human anotomy, which could also help towards knowing how to easily subdue foes.

I guess one can become something like Batman, but it will be alot of hard work. You will have to be filthy rich in both money and brains in order to make all the gadgets and gizmos he uses. A clever looking costume, hangout, and sidekicks if you need them. A great back story of why you wanted to dawn the cape and cowl. The only main concern with this is that you would have to change your name, Batman already taken of course, because of copy right laws and regulations.
I highly doubt you will find any good arch nemesis around because I doubt anyone would want to become the joker, two face, ridler, and the rest for you to fight.
Well good luck with this and tell me how it turns out.

There are two answers for this question. One, yes of course someone with the money and detective skills can dedicate his life to fighting crime as a super-heroe. And then the other answer is for you most likely it will just be a fantasy, so continue your day job and watch and read Batman at night. Holy mother of Plutonic Dissention Batman. Well keep looking Robin...Peace

I've pondered this question...read the 1st issue of Punisher, where he takes out a crack house. That plot seemed more able to be done than Batman Year 1 is.

Yes, it is possible, but to do it for as long as he has, no.
If they owned a company like Wayne enterprises (creating weapons for the govt), they could get the Bat-toys
physical training is possible to get the build.
college helps create the detective
