Why are young things cute like kittens and old things ugly like my grandma? Or are there any exceptions to the rule?

You ever see a newborn mouse? Hairless, disgusting.

Newborn birds are repulsive, until they get some feathers on them and start to look like chicks. Before that, they look like big-headed aliens.

Kangaroo joeys are cute when they go in and out of their mother's pouch. But have you seen them as they enter the pouch for the first time? Not of this world.

Some psychologists think we're wired to find babies cute, that it is just part of being human. They feel we have a natural instinct to nurture babies, keeping us from being like fish or other non-nurturing creatures.

Bottom line is that it is all down to perspective. We humans find kittens cute. There is probably some animal that finds them disgusting, a little like the old geezer out there that thinks your grandma is a hottie.

Young babies are cute because they have a large eye to body ratio. It's scientifically proven that large eyes are more pleasing to look at. When something is pleasing to look at, the emotion called love is experienced. I'm sure you can see how this mechanism fits into the process of raising a child.

little ones are no longer grotesque. that's an ignorant difficulty to declare. little ones are very lovable. they are basically cuter whilst they are older. little ones are wrinkly via fact they have been in amniotic fluid for 9 months. Why do no longer you take a seat interior the bath or decide for a swim for some hours and tell me which you probably did no longer get wrinkly. in case you think of that infant animals are cuter than human little ones, there is something incorrect with you. attempt having your individual infant and attempt telling us that he/she is grotesque. which could be like calling your self grotesque, via fact it is your individual flesh and blood. And if the infant seems such as you, are you nonetheless gonna say he/she is grotesque? i'm a guy or perhaps i come across little ones to be lovable and that i like little ones.

human babies.....I'm sorry but they are all squishy and red and just plain UGLY...but still cute and adorable. Ours were extreme preemies and they were just BUTT UGLY!!!! I'm not lying either. No fat, almost transparent skin. I promis when you came out that little hole you weren't cute either. I've yet to see a newborn that is actually cute. Be hones they are ugly the 1st few days, even if they are our babies and we think they're just adorable.

Yes baby birds. They have no feathers and look like an oven ready chick that shrunk in the wash.

When a newborn kangaroo crawls out of its mother's uterus and into her pouch, it's pretty darn ugly. It looks like a wierd red worm.

Nope, we are geared to be attracted to young things. Babies because they need our support to stay alive, and young adults because they are fertile.
